Ph.D. Positions

There are two open and fully funded Ph.D. positions for highly motivated candidates interested in:

  1. Large Scale Topology Optimization for Multiphysics and Multi-Objective Problems

  2. Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM): Large Scale AM-integrated Topology Optimization considering Overhangs and in-situ Deformation. 

Interested candidates should be experienced or willing to develop skills in any three of the following areas inclusive of Topology Optimization:

  1. Additive Manufacturing Process/Constraint Modeling 

  2. Thermo-Mechanical and Thermo-Fluid Analysis

  3. Finite Element Analysis

  4. Parallel Computing

  5. Software Development

  6. Python (preferable) or C++ programming

Experience using simulation and modeling tools (Comsol, Ansys, Abaqus, Solidworks, nTopology, Fusion 360 etc) is a bonus.
